So what are the draw
backs?
The main one is that you are paying
a subscription to an Online DVD Rental company every month. Prices vary from site to site, but then
again so does the service offering. The term of the contract also varies
as does the notice period for cancellation so please read the terms and
conditions carefully. At this point here we are going to add a
"customer satisfaction chart (csc)" but in the meantime have
a look at the links and make up your own mind.
And the advantages?
Well, if you frequently rent dvd's then
this is the method that you should be using. Before signing up for a
long term deal make sure that you know what the postage costs (if any)
will be and the number of DVDs that you can have at any one time. Also
consider how many DVD's you normally rent per month to ensure that
you are going to get good value from any subscription. Again, we'll be
adding details of all the costs involved in a chart here. We can only go
with what our suppliers tell us, so if your experience is different to
that advertised then please let us know and we'll help you to sort
things out.
And Don't Forget
Make the most out of
the Online DVD Rental experience and sign up for your free rental
trials, check out each company before deciding who to stick with.
Alternatives
Ok, so you can still wander down to
the dvd shop and take what they have available. You could also
look at, what is in effect, pay-as-you-go type online dvd rental. There
is no free period, but then again no contract. You just charge up your
account to the level that is required (it depends upon how many DVDs you
wish to rent at any one time) and then keep renting until your credit is
used. Its much cheaper than the DVD rental shop (postage and packing
both ways is still paid), but slightly more expensive than a contract
type arrangement, and there are no free offers.
